CHILDHOOD LIFE

Hey guys! do you remember your childhood life. Did you ever think want to go back in the past. Yeah! we also thought the same thing. It would be fun if we could playing all the time without worries. Yeah, I remember that time when we were playing hide and seek. Have you ever played it? Isn't it so fun? You remember right how to play it? Where the seeker need to find all the players who hiding and the first players were found must become the next seeker.

Other than that, we also have playing Police and thief where the players who become the police must catch the players who become a thief. Moreover, we have playing the traditional games like congkak and five stones. Don't ever think that five stones games for a girl only. Even a man can play it. This is an easier game to play compare to congkak because it only needs five stones or five round objects to play with. You can either play with five, seven or nine objects determining to what type of game you are playing. The objective of the game is to throw one of the stones one at a time and sweeping another on the floor simultaneously catching the one you threw earlier on. This game continues to advance stages where the game gets complicated. This game is enjoyed by all sex nowadays no matter whether you’re old or young you can still play this game and have fun.

However, nowadays there are no such things as traditional games or whatsoever. The kids right now more to modern life. They also known as generation Y, where they born in era technology. That is why the traditional games right now have been forgotten. For example, they like to playing video games compared to playing at outside. Other than that, they like spend their time with watching television all day.

Playing video games
If this keep on happening, it's really not good for their growth and health. Moreover, they will like to spend time alone other than spend time with friends or family. Then, they will become passive because of not able to communicate with other. They also like to live in their own imagination rather than reality.
Forever alone

Thus, it's parent responsibility to monitor their own child's  They still can play video games or watching television, but it must be in control. At least, they must do the activities at outside too. Because, it will help the growth of their body and health.

So, to the kids out there, if you want to be an awesome kids, play at outside is better than stay in home. But you have to remember, avoid playing dangerous things. Play it safely.

TABOOS IN BORNEO FOREST

Do you know where Borneo Forest located? If you know, Borneo is located south of Hong Kong, east of Singapore, and north of western Australia. It is divided into four political regions. he largest part, the southern region of Kalimantan, is part of Indonesia. The two regions of Sarawak and Sabah are both part of Malaysia. The fourth region is the tiny oil-rich independent state of Brunei. Borneo is the third-largest island in the world after Greenland and New Guinea.

Borneo forest was used to be the most mysterious area on earth, only adventurers dared to explore it. Today, even tourists can visit our forest, but it is still full of mystery and many visitors have unexplained experience.

Like Indians who believe everything has a soul, the locals believe the forest is the world of spirits. Therefore, we have a set of rules to follow when we go into the forest, especially the undisturbed forest. I hear many scary stories of someone whom I know breaking the rules. Below is a list of 10 Big No-No in Borneo forest.

1)       Don’t Pee Everywhere

Old folks would advise you to say “Excuse Me” before you pee in the jungle, though there is nobody around. This is to inform the “invisible” entity to give way, so you won’t pee on them. Btw, any language will work as “they” can read your mind. I have relatives who didn’t believe this and one of them even purposely peed at the grave. So, at night he saw a man standing next to his bed and stared at him angrily. He was terrified for a few days until he went to the site to apologize, then the spirit left. Never pee at termite nest, big tree and boulder, which can be the home of the spirits. Peeing at river and stream is not a good idea too.

2)       Don’t be Busybody
Our forest is rich in biodiversity, so is the forms of spirit. If you see, hear and smell something weird or unknown in the forest, just keep quiet and move on. For example, you would smell something stink or fragrant, so strong that as if it’s just next to you, or you might suddenly feel a chill in your spine for no reason. Do NOT mention it or ask your friend what it is. It’s probably a spirit comes to check you out or tries to play a trick to lure you. If you respond, it’ll follow you. If you ignore it, it’ll vanish. My ex-classmates didn’t ignore this at Kinabalu Park, so they found 2 “extra” misty human figures in group photo. Some of my friends even hear someone calling their names or foot steps behind. No matter what, don’t go off-trail to investigate. Curiosity kills the cat.

3)      Don’t Make Noise

Whoever enters the forest is an outsider invading the territory of the spirits. Usually they don’t bother until someone disturbs them with noise. If you have been to Mt. Kinabalu, you would recall your guide advised you not to be noisy. According to the locals, Mt. Kinabalu is the resting place of the death. Student is the most annoying group. Despite advised by guide, they are negligent and soon forget about it. Then the mountain is echoed with their loud noise and laughter. Then later at night, some of them would be harassed by black shadow during bedtime. I had heard so many cases like this.

       4)      Don’t Swear
Jungle trekking can be unpleasant to most people, as Borneo forest is dark, warm and humid. People start to complain when they sweat profusely or get tired. Remember, something is seeing you and hearing you. Your negative attitude will be a magnet for negative energy and that includes bad luck. Sooner or later, you would see the whiner getting into trouble such as a bad fall.
Your positive qi (energy) is your best defense. Keep swearing doesn’t help, it will only worsen the situation.

5)      Don’t Joke
If you see anything ugly or funny in a forest, don’t make fun or laugh at it. I know a fellow from Kuala Penyu who laughed at an ugly old tree, then he lost in jungle and almost died of dehydration. According to him, he followed his “friend” in front of him, but his friend didn’t talk and respond to him. Actually it was a spirit that disguised as his friend and made him lost in the wood.

6)     Don’t Bring Meat
Most local hunters know this rule. The locals tell me that meat, especially raw pork, will attract something undesirable. In certain culture, it is even considered a taboo to talk about food in the forest. I heard story of a driver who brought meat in the car felt that the car became “heavy” when he drove in forest area of Tambunan road. One of my friends even saw a tall and black human figure with red eyes at roadside of Papar.

7)     Don’t Disturb Anything
Leave everything in place as it is. Take nothing but photograph. Keep in mind that the forest is the property of others. That’s why workers of logging companies are strong believers of Feng Shui and God of Earth (Dato). You can see them worship Dato (
拿督公 in Chinese) in their forest campsites. The spirits hate the loggers so much that the workers need the protection from the God of Earth.

God of Earth (Dato) is widely worshiped in construction & logging sites of Sabah

If you have to take something, ask for permission (say to the air), and you better leave something behind as an “exchange”. However, if you take anything in national park, no matter it is live or dead specimen, it’s stealing and you will be fined RM1,000 or more. So just don’t do it.

8)     Don’t Sleep Anywhere
Based on common belief of locals, Bambangan, Banana, Banyan and Bamboo are the most haunted trees of Borneo. There are many ghost stories related to these trees too. If you camp in the jungle, stay far away from them.

I have a friend who was a girl scout and camped a lot in the wilderness. She said one day a hammock next to a banana tree spin like crazy and freak out everyone. Personally I saw fireball with tail hovering in bamboo forest. My late grandmother said it’s the spirit of the newly deceased.

9)     Don’t Torture Wildlife
Every living thing is the “citizen” of the forest. It is understandable that people may consume them for living, but it is unforgivable to torture or make fun of them. I was told that a group of hunters caught a monkey. They put cigarette in the mouth of dead monkey and had good laugh of it. That night an unusual strong wind blew away their camp.

10)    Beware of River
Without pollution, the river in deep jungle is crystal clean and we will swim. Be careful, my Long Pasia guide warned. Before entering the water in remote area, we should throw lime or a pinch of salt into the river to cleanse it. During camping, he also advised us not to sleep in parallel direction with the river. Or we would find that we are relocated to another location in next morning. This has happened to his guests. Isn't it weird?

Call me superstitious if you want. Well, many break the rule but nothing bad happens to them, so you can remain skeptical. Anyway, the rules are easy and won’t cost you anything. Four rules have something to do with our mouth, so just shut up in the forest, haha. For those who don’t listen to the old folks, they would experience bad consequences such as incubus and sickness. In serious case, it could be bad weather, accident, lost in jungle or being haunted. Though most Sabahans are converted to Christians or Muslims, most of us believe there is another kind of energy living in the forest.

I’ve walked hundred Kilometers in forest and never harassed by any spirit. Just Respect the forest. Before I enter any forest, I “talk” to them, saying that I’m just a friendly visitor and don’t mean to disturb them. When I walk in the jungle, I praise everything I see and thank them for the nice surrounding. In almost every case, the moment I walked out of jungle, it rained, as if they waited until I finished my journey. It happens so many times that I can’t believe it’s just a coincidence. I’m trying to say, they will be nice to you if you respect them.

If you enter a remote pristine forest, it’s also advisable to bring a local villager / guide with you. The spirits would be less hostile if they see you coming with someone they know. For safety reason, the locals know the place well too. Do you know the locals appease the spirits of Mt. Kinabalu annually, to protect the climbers?

For high-risk expedition, you can request a local shaman (locally known as Bomoh) or high priest (Bobolian) to appease the spirits for a smooth journey. They also can neutralize the curse or chase away the evil spirits, if you get one from the forest. However, if you don’t feel alright after a jungle trip, the first thing you should do is to see a doctor instead of Bomoh. It could be allergy, food poisoning, viral infection, Malaria, etc., a 99% chance that there is a scientific explanation.

BABY DUMPING!

Hi guys!Have you realized that there are so much the case about baby dumping especially in Malaysia, which is one of Islamic country. The worst is most of teenagers involves in this case. Have you ever think, why this is happening?

Our country unmarried teenage pregnancies have a chronic increase recently and many young mums to be are estranged from their families. As a Muslim, we believe that child is a priceless gift from Allah SWT. However, lately the baby dumping cases happen almost every day. Teenage parents give birth in a motel room and leave the child for dead in garbage. A girl gives birth in a school bathroom at night and throws the baby into the garbage. These stories relate to one of the most frightening realities of our culture today.

How could this problem keep on happening? There are many factors that cause this problem continuously occurring in Malaysian society. Lifestyle of teenagers itself, for example when they are in campus or in college, the teenagers are free act without parent’s control. Some of them date and try to do something as couple. Sometimes they can make ‘‘something’’ out of their mind in which turning out to be out of their own expectation. Just start with going out for a dinner by riding the same vehicle together. If it is just for a dinner, then there is no problem. But if the dinner’s over and they’re still together alone in a car, then that is not right and ‘something’ bad can happen. Perhaps that ‘’something’’ can be call it as sumbang mahram or zina in Malay Language.

Every boy and girl has to know their limitation of relationship. Parents should play their role in order to prevent their own children from social problem. Parents should give awareness about the dangerous of baby dumping; introduce true Islam to the children especially to the Muslim youth about “halal” and “haram” in opposite sex relationship.

Besides that, by celebrating New Year’s Day and Valentine’s Day are also the factors of baby dumping to happen. Most of the teenagers were easily cajoled into having unmarried sex because they were naïve. During the New Year celebration and Valentine Day celebration, many of teenage girls cheated by their boyfriends, saying that they had to prove their love to their boyfriends by having sex together.
As a naive teenager of course they will do and give everything for their sweetheart without thinking about the sins and problem that might be happening in the future.  Once the teenagers find themselves pregnant, they are about to fend for themselves, and they became estranged from their family after they know about the pregnancy. Thus, causes the young mums to be scared in dealing with feelings of fear, anger, disappointment and confusion, therefore they take the easiest and fastest way out by abandon or worse, by killing the baby (abortion, baby dumping).

The social stigma attached to premarital pregnancies forces them to conceal and abandon the babies, leading to horrifying deaths. As long as society refuses to accept reality, baby dumping will continue to be a social whip in our country. Parents have to be more open and supportive to help their girls manage their pregnancies. This should not be viewed as condoning premarital sex. There is indeed a need for change of mindset and the way of managing something in which had been done, in this case the premarital sex.

On top of that, the widespread access to porn and weakened family ties also has a link to the baby dumping. Effects from globalization nowadays, youth today can easily have access to pornography online, even through their mobile phones. The parents should play a role in controlling their children’s activities inside and outside of the house. They should know their children going out with whom and where did they go in order to avoid their children from unhealthy activities and involve with social problem.

Poverty is also another factor that causes child dumping. Poor social welfare systems, not capable to pay the medical bills and not financially capable of taking care of a child are more likely the factors to dump the baby. Political conditions, such as difficulty in adoption proceedings, may also contribute to child dumping. “Having one’s first child is the most stressful experience someone can go through. Young mothers can be vulnerable, especially if they are alone and do not have the experience or social support to cope.”-Dr Boulton, a child psychologist at the University of Keele.

Effects of baby dumping are on individuals itself, the baby and society. On infants, it will give a problem cause contempt regarded by society as adults, problems if you want to marry because there is no guardian and it will difficult for schools because there is no birth registration. It may effects on society too. The abortion will be mimicked by others. On individuals, it can cause psychological effects on the mental and emotions after marriage, such as depression, especially when age is often thought of as the content is never removed.

The government, families, and communities should take the role to overcome the baby dumping problem. There are no easy solutions, and so we are required to expand our efforts to reach prevention at a standstill. Steps must be taken to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

Sexuality education, for example the Ministry of Education agreed to implement a sex education. Recommends communities provide comprehensive sexuality education to youths and families. Education should strive to increase communication among youth, families, and communities thus, can minimize the shame on unwanted pregnancy and make young people want to take advantage off supports and services in their families and communities.

Campaign towards the regions and categories of population with focus on the prevention programs increased risks of dumping. For example in 2001, Malaysia launched the “Say Yes for Children” campaign to create awareness on the protection of children. The campaign was aimed at creating a conducive and enabling environment for children to grow up. It was built on 10 imperative actions and responsibilities, which are:
LEAVE no child out
PUT children first
CARE for every child
FIGHT HIV/AIDS
STOP harming and exploiting children
LISTEN to children
EDUCATE every child
PROTECT children from war
PROTECT the earth for children and
FIGHT poverty and invest in children.

In Conclusion, we can’t point our finger to anyone we want, but this time we have to examine the best solution to reducing this social problem together.

“Having sex after marriage is safer and it can reduce the abortion and baby dumping rate. It also helps us be more responsible and not to have sex just to satisfy our lust”.

WORLD POVERTY

Previously, we have discussed about impoliteness right? We hope that it useful and can be a lesson to everyone.

Before that, have you ever helping people who need help? have you ever thinking the life of poor people? Yes, that is our topic for today, the poverty of world. What is poverty?

Poverty is undoubtedly, today’s most maintained problem. It’s very serious because it comprises children too. Every country has poor people and every country has different ways of dealing with the poor. What are some of the reason for world poverty? What can we do help the poor? What does it mean to be poor? How is poverty measured? Third World countries are often described as “developing” while the First World, industrialized nations are often “developed”. What does it mean to describe a nation as “developing”? A lack of material wealth does not necessarily mean that one is deprived. A strong economy in a developed nation doesn't mean much when a significant percentage (even a majority) of the population is struggling to survive.

What is poverty? Poverty is hunger. Poverty is lack of shelter. Poverty is being sick and not being able to see a doctor. Poverty is not having access to school and not knowing how to read. Poverty is not having a job, is fear for the future, living one day at a time. Poverty is losing a child to illness brought about by unclean water. Poverty is powerlessness, lack of representation and freedom. Poverty is a call to action - for the poor and the wealthy alike - a call to change the world so that many more may have enough to eat, adequate shelter, access to education and health, protection from violence, and a voice in what happens in their communities. Poverty is the state of being without, often associated with need, hardship and lack of resources across a wide range of circumstances.

Of one billion people are living in conditions of extreme poverty conditions and almost 30 per cent of them are youth. As we know, young people are the most vulnerable to the effect of hunger and poverty. Consequently, world poverty opens the door in order to be exterminated people. That’s why; it is the most essential problem in the world. This blogger includes some of the causes of world poverty, also some solution of this matter.

There are several reasons of the world poverty. One of the principal causes is lack of education. Great number of poverty-stricken people is illiterate people. In the plenty of countries there is neither elementary school nor secondary school. As a result, illiteracy makes lots of the poor. Nowadays, most of international programmed  as a charity, also governmental sponsorship is acting for improving education system, in addition to solve this problem.

The second significant problem is weak economics. As usual, weak economics is created by crisis or non-professional authorities of government. For “healing” this system, such kind of governments needs to improve diplomatic relationship with developed countries, precisely, improving international affairs. Rebuilding educational system or illiteracy depends on the response of the second problem, as well.

Not only illiteracy or weak economics can make poverty, also, lack of innovation in technology. Government begins to go down, because of innovations insufficient in technology. In order to avert this process, countries need to bring foreign specialists, besides; several times countries have to make extra funds. Generally, all problems are very serious and they are like chains.

We must acknowledge that there are many causes and many preventions of every problem. In most positions people don’t search denouement of the global problem or if they know how to solve it, people don’t do. Nevertheless, world poverty is the most essential and very earnest. With this reason, we should be sincere and very serious about poverty.

Impoliteness of Teenagers Nowadays

Hi guys! have you seen our self introduction? How about it? Isn't it awesome?Haha. Okay, enough with that awesomeness.  Now we gonna talk about impoliteness. Do you know what impoliteness is? Impoliteness is a discourteous manner that ignores accepted social usage or can be said as bad manners.
Politeness
Nowadays, it seems as though more and more teenagers are inclined to act disrespectfully toward adults. The notion that the youth must respect their elders has completely vanished. What has replaced this attitude is a sense of disobedience, noncompliance and rudeness. Some contributors include the lack of discipline from parents, the mimicking of friends' attitudes towards adults and how the media portrays disrespectful teenagers as being hip. Modern families contain parents who are more driven and focused on their careers and less focused on the success of their family. Becoming a teenager brings with it a host of new emotions, attitudes and behaviors. As kids age 13 to 19 move from childhood to maturity, they often experiment with language to express their boundaries and talk back to parents in ways that are inappropriate. It then becomes the parents’ duty to instruct their children how to speak with respect to authorities.
don't talk back to adults
The problem arises when parents fail to teach their children the correct way of behaving toward adults. Once threats are made, the parents back down and the teenager feels powerful. Now, the teenager has control over the parent, causing the parent to feel weak and powerless. Now more than ever, teens are mimicking the disrespectful and disobedient attitude, which their friends exhibit at school. This can mainly be seen between a student and a teacher. The same attitude that is being used toward parents is used against school officials. Schools should enforce more disciplinary action against these rude teens so as to make them pay for their lack of respect. As teenagers go about their daily lives, they observe others being rude to their friends and their parents, so they in turn do the same. The amount of peer pressure is increasing; therefore, it results in conforming to their peers’ expectations.

The media portrays disrespectful teenagers as being "cool" and therefore has contributed to this epidemic. We see more and more disrespectful teenagers on TV because it is entertaining to watch. However, this should not be at the expense of our future society's behavior.
influence of TV

To those teenagers, please stop being impolite. Impolite is not cool, but polite is AWESOME.
